About the role

Om klanten die flexibele (non-firm) aansluitingen op HS niveau hebben te helpen met wanneer, hoelang en waar congestie optreedt, zoeken we een Principal Energy Systems Modeller | Netarchitect die het Voltho load-flow model kan verbeteren en simulaties kan uitvoeren. In deze rol werk je niet aan theoretische exercities, maar aan echte bottleneken in het elektriciteitsnet, concrete aansluitvraagstukken en commerciële cases met directe impact. Je combineert diep nettechnisch begrip met modellering en helpt ons klanten beter te adviseren over congestie, flexibiliteit, batterijen en netaansluitingen.

Responsibilities

  • Bouwen en verbeteren van netmodellen voor elektriciteitsnetten, met een sterke focus op congestie, aansluitcapaciteit, curtailment en flexibiliteit
  • Ontwikkelen, draaien en valideren van modellen in Voltho's Python load-flow model
  • Conducting client-specific scenario analyses and translating outcomes into clear insights and recommendations
  • Collaborating with commercial colleagues to link technical analyses to client inquiries and market opportunities

What we are looking for

  • We are looking for someone with at least3years of relevant experienceasenergy system modeling,grid architect, network analystor a comparable specialist within the electricity sector. 

  • Experience with companies such asTenneT, Stedin, Liander, Enexisor with a consultancy firm focused onload-flow modeling, congestion studies, or network analyses is highly relevant.

  • Demonstrable experience withPyPSA,Plexos or Powerfactory or other energy modeling software

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills

  • Vermogen om zowel het fysieke elektriciteitsnet als de simulatie omgeving goed te begrijpen

  • Independent, structured, and able to build things from the ground up
